Very often, beginner practitioners complain that when entering deep states in practice, they begin to fall asleep. They are scared of this, upset and very often think that they are not succeeding. But, in fact, this is not so. Let's take a closer look at this phenomenon.

3 things you need to know about immersion in deep meditative states:

1. From the point of view of the body, the electrical activity of the brain when entering deep meditative states is very similar to the electrical activity of our brain during sleep. Therefore, the brain, out of habit, confuses the deep state of practice with the state of immersion in sleep. Also, during deep meditation, we relax, and the brain perceives this as a command to sleep. Because of this, we fall asleep. But over time and as we train, the brain begins to adapt.

2. The deeper we immerse ourselves in practice, the more subtle bodies we begin to be in and power them. Our consciousness is not used to being in these states and it switches off. But the more often we enter such states, the more experience we gain, and the more energy we accumulate. This results in our ever greater awareness and concentration of attention. The less we fall asleep and the more we feel what is happening.

3. Well, and perhaps the most important thing. Going into deep practice or meditation, even if we fall asleep, the work still goes on. Castaneda described this work in his books, when he said that Don Juan worked not only with his Tonal, but also with his Nagual. In simpler terms, the work is carried out on 2 levels: work with our Consciousness and with our Subconsciousness. And when the Consciousness falls asleep, then a more active impact begins to be produced on our Subconscious. Experience and information are archived in it, and then gradually unpacked.

To make it completely simple and clear, imagine yourself in the place of a pearl diver, because you are in fact one. You dive into the depths of practices to get the pearls of knowledge, experience, transformations. Obstacles and problems are also similar. Just as a diver pumps himself up for a deeper dive, learns to breathe correctly, cleanses the body of toxins, works with his mental attitudes and his energy, improves his concentration, so a practitioner who goes into ever deeper meditations does the same. And if you want to dive into ever deeper states, there is only one way out: Take and practice!

You, just like a diver, will first dive for 1 minute, then for 2, 3, 10, etc. The main thing is to hold the Intention and move forward, without stopping and without getting upset about failures. After all, everyone has had them. This is a normal learning process. The main thing you must remember is that Willpower and Intention are pumped up not when you do not fall, but when, having fallen, you get up and move on!
